SA Youth Week 2023 is coming!

SA Youth Week (SAYW) is South Australia’s biggest celebration of young people aged 12-24.

SAYW 2023, held over 10 days from Friday 24 March to Sunday 2 April 2023, recognises the ideas, talents and contributions of young people in South Australia and includes a wide range of events and activities created by and for young people.

SA Youth Week is supported by the Department of Human Services.

SA Youth Week Grants

Grants of up to $2,000 are now on offer for eligible organisations to run youth-focused events or activities during SAYW 2023.

The grants are available to not-for-profit community groups, non-government organisations, local councils and state government agencies working with young people to help celebrate SAYW in their local community.

The grants aim to support events that showcase young people’s ideas, achievements and talents.

In previous years, SAYW events have spanned a wide range of interests and activities, from building robotic smart cars to a community radio open mic day, a poetry slam, virtual reality painting, and workshops about financial literacy and job skills.

Applications for SAYW grants close 19 January 2023 at 3.00 pm.

Find out more and apply through the Department of Human Services website.
